WAX-WARS

A riprova (qualora ve ne fosse bisogno) del fatto che la Defected quest'anno
abbia fatto le cose in grande, ecco il vero regalo da fare a Natale.
Questo triplo cd (per non parlare dei tre doppi vinili) ha dell'incredibile.
Tre mixati (50 tracce in tutto, tra successi di ieri e oggi) realizzati da
Simon Dunmore (Defectd), Brian Tappert (Soulfuric) e Jamie Lewis (Purple Music)
per iniziare la serie delle WAX-WARS:
i supereroi della House si affrontano alla consolle ihihih...
Una vera e propria "battaglia" tra dj ma soprattutto tra label.
Il primo appuntamento di un progetto, che ha dello straordinario.

Raramente dedico articoli a dischi che ospito nella Pure House Selection,
poichè è come se ne avessi detto già ogni bene :) Ma questa volta...
...son quasi obbligata; dal fatto che la Defected (di cui avete giustamente
tessuto le lodi per il 2K5) ha pubblicato un CD contenente gli ultimi remix
di questo grande progetto. Un bel regalo da fare e farsi, per Natale. Anzi, sempre :)

Stamane, alle 10.30, arrivo in "ufficio"...e dopo aver ricevuto e letto due sms
meravigliosi (e quindi non chiedendo altro, di bello, per la giornata) aprendo
la posta del blog, vi trovo una mail di Tiziano (nome adorabile di per sè).
Tiziano e' l'Admin (o membro dell'Admin) del fantastico sito

un sito che spessissimo visito perchè ricco di informazioni sulla musica,
perchè punto di riferimento per una marea di utenti che lo frequentano
e perchè il Google volentieri mi dirotta lì, durante le mie ricerche :)

Aaron Smith ft Luvli "Dancin" (Fuzzy Hair!) [Boss & Sound Division]

Facciamo un po' d'ordine su questo progetto.
Nel 2004 esce, sull'etichetta americana Moody Recordings, un bel floorkiller:
Aaron Smith ft Luvli "Dancin" di cui particolarmente bello è il remix curato da
JJ Flores & Steve Smooth. La vocal line è un vero capolavoro!
Ma qualcosa (???) deve aver impedito a questo disco, di fare il botto.
Ah si: non se ne è parlato sul blog.
ahsahah....
Tornando seri, mi faccio davvero meraviglia che questo disco non abbia ottenuto
i dovuti apprezzamenti. Ma c'è sempre tempo per rimediare. Nel giugno del 2005,
la Boss in Inghilterra e la Sound Division in Italia, decidono di premiarlo.
Sulla label inglese, in CDR, oltre al Flores&Smooth troviamo anche le versioni di
Soulshaker, Raul Rincon, Mike di Scala e Fuzzy Hair (vocal e dub, nell'ultimo caso).

Sulla label italiana, una release più essenziale ma ufficiale con versioni
curate da Flores&Smooth, Raul Rincon e Fuzzy Hair (vocal e dub).
Luglio 2005: è la volta del promo ufficiale su Boss CLICK&VIEW (doppio!)
Agosto 2005: il disco esce anche su Vendetta, in Spagna CLICK&VIEW
Ma..... io ho visto, comunque, poco movimento. E' vero che ho trascorso
un'estate lontana da blog, dischi e quant'altro...ma il disco avrebbe
dovuto comunque lasciar traccia di sè...traccia che nemmeno fra gli amici
ho trovato..... capisciammè. Dunque la Boss che fa? Torna all'attacco.

La novità (è evidente), è il remix di Lil' Love. Ma se lo volete, un mio parere
spassionato, il remix di Lil' Love, che giustappunto si trova sul B1, lì resta.
La Boss in realtà punta ancora sul FUZZY HAIR DUB...che in pista, dico, fa macello.
Tutto il resto del vinile, pare una scusa per far decollare questa STRABILIANTE DUB.
Dischi belli come questo, a volte, hanno davvero delle strane storie da raccontare :)

I posti meravigliosi di questo mondo..

Mi ritrovo quasi ogni giorno a sfogliare il mio album virtuale preferito di fotografie..
..che mi offre la possibilità di ammirare scorci di panorama meravigliosi.
Posti di questa Terra, animali, colori che credo mai vedrò dal vivo.
Si può lasciare questo mondo, senza aver visto il monte Timpanogos, nello Utah?

...e il deserto Pinnacles ad ovest dell'Australia?

...e senza aver accarezzato o visto fuggire uno scoiattolo?

Io son giovane, ho 28 anni: potenzialmente, ho tempo. Posso farcela.
